Band of the Week: High Vis

High Vis is a London-based post-punk band who released their debut album, No Sense No Feeling, in 2019.

The album contains tracks like the fast-paced “Walking Wires,” which discusses the search for ones self in a modern, nihilistic society.

The band’s latest album, Blending (slang for looking sharp in Britain), discusses topics like anti-capitalism. The album tends to have a more positive outlook and vibe compared to High Vis’ debut, partly credited by drummer, Edward “Ski” Harper encouraging vocalist, Graham Sayle to seek therapy in order to abandon his “fuck it” mentality. His gritty vocals still soar over softer, more rounded-edged guitars and drums.

High Vis has since embarked on a European and US tours this year and has more shows/festivals planned for this summer.

Songs to check out:

”Walking Wires”

“Choose to Lose”

“Trauma Bonds”
