New EP/Video Release: Red-Tailed River by La Palma

Bi-coastal band, La Palma have released a new EP titled, Red-Trailed River. The EP has 3 songs and features the track “Hawks In the Sky,” a song with vocals by Chris Walker. The EP also features another song “Rock Creek,” with vocals by Tim Gibbon.

In addition to songs featuring vocals by both band members, the band took a new approach to the videos for the tracks of the EP. The band meticulously planned the tracks to flow so that video could be transposed over to create a seamless, audio-visual experience.

La Palma maintained their signature pysch-pop indie folk sound and added the element of stop-motion animation to create the 3 music videos for each track.

The band used an old over-head projector, construction paper, and colored plastic acetate sheets to create the videos. The concept was to create a handmade visual world in which the music could live that also enhanced the meditative, soothing vibe of the music.

Check out the songs/videos here.
