Mix indie rock with a hint of pop and you've got Mikky Ekko. Born John Stephen Sudduth, Mikky started his career as a songwriter for other artists.  After recording his first solo EP, Strange Fruit, he began touring the country with the group Ten Out of Tenn.

In 2012, Ekko was featured on Rhianna's song, "Stay" which launched his mainstream career. Following the success of "Stay," (which he wrote, by the way) Ekko debuted his first album, Time, to critical acclaim.  Advance copy songs off his upcoming album, Fame, are available on Spotify.  One of my favorite songs from Fame is "Light The Way." It's an electronic rock song that is bright, but maintains a bit of an edge.  Ekko's vocals inject intensity, while the guitars and drums keep the momentum of the song moving. Ekko admits that he tried to focus on his vocals and self-reflection while writing this album, and it shows.
