Band of the Week: HOLYGRAM

band1.JPG

This week’s featured band is HOLYGRAM, a post-rock/new wave band formed in 2015 in Cologne, Germany. The band openly states their music is an homage to the popular sounds of the 1980’s, with futuristic elements supplementing their overall sound.

There is no shortage of new wave inspired music these days, but HOLYGRAM seems to cleverly intertwine the synth-driven sounds of the 80’s with melancholy lyrics and seemingly urgent guitar riffs, creating a complex musical experience for listeners.

Their debut album, Modern Cults, will be released November 9, 2018. HOLYGRAM will then embark on a tour through Europe and the US in support of its release.
